Lithuania's gambling market sees strong growth in Q1 2025

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Lithuanian gambling market saw significant growth in the first quarter of 2025. Both land-based and remote gambling sectors contributed to increased revenue.
The total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the Lithuanian gambling market reached €63 million during the first three months of 2025.
Breaking down the Q1 2025 gross gaming revenue:
From land-based gambling establishments: €19.2 million From remote gambling: €44.1 million Compared to the first three months of 2024, land-based gambling GGR increased by 11.9% (or €2 million) in Q1 2025. Remote gambling GGR saw an even larger increase of 12.4% (or €5 million) over the same period.
In terms of lotteries, tickets worth €39.5 million were distributed in Q1 2025, which is a 10.1% (€3.6 million) increase compared to Q1 2024. Winnings paid out totaled €21.5 million, a 4.2% (€0.9 million) rise from the winnings paid in the first three months of 2024.
For the first three months of 2024, the Lithuanian budget collected a total of €21,072,900 in lottery and gambling taxes. Of this, large lottery organizers contributed €7,598,825, while gambling organizers paid €13,474,075.
