Lithuanian regulator unveils new monitoring platform
31 March 2025
(PRESS RELEASE) -- This year, on 31 March, specialists from the Gambling Supervision Service met remotely with a representative of the United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports, an organization that ensures transparency in sports, who presented the new ULIS monitoring platform designed to monitor betting offers on ongoing sporting events worldwide.
This updated tool, intended for ULIS members and specialists of the Gambling Supervision Service, will help them more effectively obtain information about potentially suspicious sporting events or betting odds, analyze it and use it to clarify potentially suspicious situations or conduct investigations at the national level.
Since 2018, the Gambling Supervisory Authority and ULIS have been exchanging information on suspicious sports and betting patterns on the basis of a cooperation agreement, in order to prevent collusion in sports and possible manipulation of the results of sports competitions.
Effective cooperation in achieving common goals and exchanging information helps to achieve even better response to manipulation in sports and betting.
